Welcome to Dyslexia Support. Here you will find the terms and conditions that guide our services, ensuring a clear and mutually respectful relationship. We believe in transparency and want to make sure you have all the information you need regarding our tuition and assessment services.
Understanding our service agreements
At Dyslexia Support, we outline our terms and conditions clearly to ensure a smooth and effective learning journey. Our agreements cover initial consultations, free trial sessions, initial assessment sessions, and blocks of a minimum of six lessons. Tuition fees will be agreed upon in advance, and full details will be provided in your contract.
Payment and cancellation policy
Payment for tuition must be made monthly in advance by BACS transfer only, prior to the first lesson of each monthly block.
We require 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson. If less than 48 hours' notice is provided, the full lesson fee will be charged.
If the tutor is unable to deliver a lesson due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the lesson will be rearranged at a mutually convenient time or credited against future tuition.
No charge will be made for tutor cancellations. If a family wishes to take a planned break from tuition, at least one week's notice must be provided. School holidays may be used for tuition where agreed in advance.
Safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and ensure confidentiality and data protection for all our students.
The tutor may provide learning materials, activities, and resources to support progress.
These materials remain the intellectual property of the tutor and may not be copied, distributed, or shared commercially without written permission.
Communication between lessons may take place via email or telephone where necessary.
The tutor aims to respond to enquiries within a reasonable time frame during normal working hours.

We plan lessons based on assessment outcomes and ongoing progress, maintain professional standards and confidentiality, monitor and review progress regularly, and keep parents informed of significant achievements or concerns.
